This piece examined results from a recent study by Sue Dyson, renowned equine orthopedic clinician, researcher, and veterinarian, evaluating the troubling prevalence of pain and lameness in sport horses of all levels. As much as I hate focusing on the negatives, I only do so because of how much room we have for growth, and doing better for our horses. It’s a huge part of why I became a massage therapist years ago, and why I continue to find new ways to help horses feel better.
